Each person left the party with SOMETHING (some even 4 things haha) - thanks Rhino for donating some CDs for the "cause" :) Tina also dontated one of her books to be raffled off and the lucky winner (Dana Gross) had it specially signed (girl, IM me and tell me what she wrote haha)... It was good to see the "regulars" that attend the party every year, and those where this was their first time...We had "our music" from 8pm until 10:25 (with a 25 minute break in between for the bartender's sanity). We had more people than previous years who were not there for the party just coming up to us asking us for a piece of cake (kinda funny)... There was nothing that I saw that was so extraordinary to report...just people hanging out, meeting fellow fans and having a good time! We did have a few people fly in for the party...Janie Pooh from Oregon, Cathy from MN, Kristen from Canada, and of course, Tina from LA... Leah - you were sadly missed :( I was HOPING something might have changed and you were just going to show up and surprise everyone, oh well... A new album needs to be released before the summer is over, or the apathy is going to set in and the hard work of proving themselves on tour last year is going to go to waste!!!!!!!! The music still rocks, so the questions about the band continuing have been resolved. They are still a force, live. There is nothing to say anymore about Michael that hasn't already been said. The guys have as good as said that there will be no more INXS releases with Michael's vocals on them, so speculation of live albums from past tours and unreleased recordings have been squashed, which is a shame cos LBL is a poor example of INXS live (and dare I say it, the worst INXS album released), and there a some excellent quality bootlegs out there, which show them in a beter light than official releases so far. I'd go so far as to say, that a live album of the recent tour would be an excellent taster and stop gap between the release of the next studio album. Not only that, the rest of the world that didn't see, but has since been informed how good Jon S was will be able to here it. So now wait for the next phase. No opinion expressed is wrong ("how could any one" -be), it is simply rather redundant when expressed in those terms in 2003. I personally have been under fire when I have voiced my hostile thoughts, opinions and feelings regarding the remaining band members of INXS and everyone thought that I deserved it except those who feel the same way as I do. We are all entitled to our opinions but I have come to realize that when it comes to this particular topic no one is wrong and we all feel like what we are personally expressing is right. So if we don't have something good to say we should not say something that may conflict with others feelings. This by now should be a dead subject. Not worth bickering over. Every one of us including the remaining band members of INXS must get on with life regardless how anyone feels. Michael is gone and that is very sad but nothing we say or do can bring him back and time should not stand still. I have had one of Michael's most sexy pictures on my desk top since his death and I retired it January 1st, 2003. Doesn't mean that I have forgotten him, just means that I have grieved long enough and have to move on because being obsessed over Mike and trying to be his white night defending him constantly and feeling hostile towards others who don't feel the same way I as do was just plain unproductive and a waste of time and energy. Everyone has the right to do what they want to do and if the remaining band members choose to go on who has a right to down them for it. Don't have to like it but should be adult enough to get over it and get on with life. Linda
