I felt it started with a dated mess of a track and was far too moody and had no momentum to keep me listening all the way through in one go. However, there were some instantly enjoyable tunes. Breathe and Baby It's Alright are massive songs, meant for today and TOTALLY HITS. By juggling around with the album playlist I found it gelled into something far more satisfying and was able to grow more on me and raised itself to a new plateau. Try playing it is this order. Track 4, 3, 2, 8, 6, 7, 5, 11, 12, 13, & 10. As for tracks 1& 9 I am surprised they saw the light of day and are all surpassed by Let The People Talk which I cannot beleive didn't make it to the album. Try it. Most INXS 45s in the states go for $2-4 with an additional $1 for a PS ($2 if the PS is mint). Having subscribed to various Norman Cook/Fatboy Slim clubs and mailing lists, I thought there may one of his fans from whom a copy could be acquired. One of the replies to a message I posted was from Norman Cook's assistant engineer Simon Thornton. It read : "Only two people in the world have this mix. Norman and me. The definitive answer is: YES, we did this, but no, I doubt it'll ever come out. I doubt anyone that says they've heard it (apart from me and Norman, obviously) actually has. Sorry! Simon." I guess that puts that one to bed. But surely someone within INXS has a copy or has at least heard it (?) - maybe inxs.com should consider it for a future download (?) Hi Everyone, If you go to http://www.vh1.com/insidevh1/shows/btm/michael_hutchence_105.jhtml it will take you directly to the Michael Hutchence BTM showtimes. The problem is, that it says "no showtimes available," right now. This really ticks me off. When the times were placed on the list, the first one was incorrect. Someone put the wrong time down. The second time/date on May 4th was correct, according to VH1's schedule at the time, but VH1 opted NOT to show it for some reason. Therefore, we still did not get to see it. I saw it the date it was originally shown, and it is very good. Not a bunch of "Michael bashing." I'm really upset, as I was supposed to tape it for my friend in New Zealand, because they don't get VH1 there. I think we should all email VH1 and complain. My point (and I do have one) is to say that INXS fans are the BEST!! Never in my life have I known a greater group of people, so intelligent, passionate and just plain fun. I'll miss hearing what's going on, but sometimes reality calls, hopefully I'll be back one day. So, take care, live life and be happy, all of you beautiful people!!! Love, Peace & INXS forever!! The show took place at "Le Botanique", a very small place in Brussells and INXS played in front of about 500 people, mostly journalists and music industry people, guests and some fans wich won radio station contests over Europe, to which the price was going to that show, unfortunately Portugal didn't get the contest. By the time their third American release The Swing appeared in 1984, INXS were one of the biggest acts in the world. You couldn't turn on your car radio without Michael Hutchence slithering up to you and panting in your ear. I cannot believe that there are more >>people out there who care about Leif Garrett's life than Michael's, or even >>Milli Vanilli !!!!! Wow, I haven't posted in awhile. I don't think VH1 considers the popularity of the episodes at all when it comes to re-airing them. A couple months ago there was a BTM countdown of the most-requested episodes. I didn't catch the whole thing, but I caught a good chunk of it, and Duran Duran placed No. 9. To my knowledge, VH1 hasn't re-aired that episode since. There were also a lot of others in the top 10 like Goo Goo Dolls, etc., that aren't aired regularly. Oh, and I don't think either Leif Garrett or Milli Vanilli made that countdown. They didn't say "never" they said at least through May 28. That's less than 2 weeks! She was probably just looking at the website, lol. Don't panic until they say "it's been shelved indefinitely." Although The Metro is really small, I was told about 1,100 people, the crowd got right behind them. The cheering and applause was deafening. I hope this is not the last show. I was not a fan of TTD and thought he did a pretty awful job. Jon just seems to have a great affection and respect for INXS and their music. The special was relatively interesting, but far too lop-sided for my taste. On another note, MuchMoreMusic, the counterpart to MuchMusic, just finished airing reruns of Live Baby Live and also INXS: The Reunion (with Terence Trent D'Arby on vocals), which I watched again. It's amazing how happy the guys seem onstage, but is it me or did the cameras delibarately stay away from the band members for the first two minutes of "Never Tear Us Apart"? I think Terence's intro before the song, where he dedicated it to Michael, may have shaken the guys up more than expected. By the time the guys are seen again, they seem fine though. Just something I noticed. It's great that MuchMusic keeps airing INXS footage, just disappointing it's the same old stuff, and that it gets lumped together where they show it all within a 48 hour period then go months before showing it again.
